I know everyone must have a lot of question regarding their birth charts, lucky days, lucky numbers and a lot of other stuff.
In this blog I would try to answer as many questions I can and as promised I am back with Lesson 2 : Astrology Basics
Today we will talk about the rest of the three categorizations of the 12 signs of zodiac,
So lets start now..
As you all may remember signs of zodiac can be categorized in threes, fours and sixes.
Quadruplets (division in fours)
All the signs are categorized in 4 seperate groups of 3, each symbolizing a single element.
There are 4 basics elements: fire, water, earth and air.
Fire Signs
Aries, Leo and Sagittarius
Characteristics: active and enthusiastic
Earth Signs
Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn
Characteristics: practical and stable
Water Signs
Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces
Characteristics:emotional and intuitive
Air Signs
Gemini, Libra and Aquarius
Characteristics: intellectual and communicative
Triplets (division in threes)
The zodiac signs are also divided in 3 groups of 4 signs each depending the quality which means whether they are fixed, cardinal or mutable.
Cardinal Signs
Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn
Characteristics: enterprising, outgoing and initiators
Mutable Signs
Gemini, Virgo,, Sagittarius and Pisces
Characteristics: flexible, versatile and adaptable
Fixed Signs
Taurus, Leo ,Scorpio and Aquarius
Characteristics: resistant to change, perfectionist and finishers
Polarities (Division in sixes)
The 12 signs are divided in 6 groups containing 2 signs each. Each group is called a polarity meaning opposite. Each sign has an opposite sign in the zodiac and the 2 signs exhibit opposite traits.
Aries and Libra:
Aries is an independent sign whereas Libra believes in partnerships
Taurus and Scorpio:
Taurus is sign of personal possession whereas Scorpios usually gain from legacies and shared possessions
Gemini and Sagittarius:
Gemini is very self expressive whereas Sagittarius has a higher level of thinking and is into philosophy
Cancer and Capricorn:
Cancer believes in family life whereas Capricorn has a public life
Leo and Aquarius:
Leo is the sign of personal pleasure and creativity whereas Aquarius is the sign of hopes and ideal on a larger scale
Virgo and Pisces
Virgo is the sign of work and self improvement whereas Pisces is the sign of dreams
You will see that all signs are different and not 1 sign has all the same characteristics.

Astrology Basics : Lesson 1
Hey everyone
Today's topic is SUN SIGNS
Sun within a year moves through all 12 signs of the zodiac once spending approximately 1 month in each sign. The sign that the sun was traveling through at the time of your birth is your sun sign.This is what astrology is based on: movement of planets in different signs during the time of your birth. Your sun sign governs your individuality, your style , your drive to fulfill your goals in life.
When I first started learning about astrology I always thought how is it possible to judge a person's personality depending only on the sun sign since there are so many people that have the same sun sign so does that mean all of us are same?
Well later on as I got to learn more, I understood astrology is not only about sun sign,it also depends on the movement of other planets during your time of birth.
For example: Moon sign that is which zodiac was the moon traveling through during the time of your birth, also plays a very important role in astrology.
Astrology is a fascinating tool for the study of human nature. When you first meet someone, the person is a mystery. You see the color of their eyes, hair, their height , physique but that is all physical. If you know the person's sun sign, you can put a few pieces of the puzzle together. But, just as when you are beginning a complex jigsaw puzzle, too many pieces are missing. the sun sign merely gives you and edge, an extra insight that you would not otherwise possess.
Knowledge of sun signs is not only useful in casual social meetings. It is invaluable in close relationships. Most important of all, an understanding of your own sun sign will give you an added measure of self knowledge, a deeper in sight into the stranger that is yourself.
So I am assuming everyone know what their sun sign is. For anyone who does not know you can find that out by looking at the list below:
March 21 - April 19 Aries
April 20 - May 20 Taurus
May 21 - June 20 Gemini
June 21 - July 22 Cancer
July 23 - August 22 Leo
August 23 - September 22 Virgo
September 23 - October 22 Libra
October 23 - November 21 Scorpio
November 22 - December 21 Sagittarius
December 22 - January 19 Capricorn
January 20 - February 18 Aquarius
February 19 - March 20 Pisces
Well this division is very general. To be sure of your exact sun sign, both the year and month of birth need to be considered. If any one has any questions as to what their sun sign is , please feel free to post your question as a comment to this post. It is really difficult for me to post the entire list since it will be too long , I hope everyone understands.
Now continuing..
As for the specific characteristics, you can go any other website or google it and you will get all the characteristics. I will also list the characteristics of all sun signs one by one (but you will have to wait for that, there is more that we need to talk about first).
